  1. Recently guided new-to-Colorado hikers up Mt Bierstadt for their first 14er (my fav for scenery, ease & memories!) and rediscovered the facination the younger hikers have for cairns! Curious, playful – rearranging, adding, circling – suspending if only for a moment my serious explanations and history. Loved it!
